Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has commenced the distribution of food items, including rice and maize, across all 21 Local Government Areas.
The governor, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Yayaji Mijinyawa, oversaw the handover of 12,600 bags of rice to the local government chairmen during a ceremony in Yola on Monday.
These food supplies are intended to be distributed to the residents of each locality.
During the event, the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Chairman, Hon. Gidado Abdulsalam, expressed gratitude on behalf of the 21 local council chairmen.
He assured the public of their commitment to effectively manage and distribute the food items, emphasizing their dedication to fulfilling Governor Fintiri’s trust in them.
