“I want everyone of us not to repeat what happened during the last governorship election. Handle it with all sense of commitment and without any lackadaisical attitude” said Fintiri.
Governor Fintiri charged the candidates who may loose the primary election to accept it in good faith, calling on PDP stakeholders to ensure free and fair conduct of the party’s primary elections.
In remarks, the State Chairman of PDP, Barrister Tahir Shehu said the meeting was called to discuss matters regarding preparations of the party ahead of the local government election.
He said the party intends to go round the state and campaign for the election, calling on the contestants to embrace whoever emerges as PDP flag bearers for chairmanship and councilorship positions.
Barrister Shehu noted that leadership is an act of destiny and God gives it to whoever He wants and therefore charged all the stakeholders to ensure the process is conducted successfully without any element of rancor
