Fintiri Partners Origin Group To Boost Agriculture, Create Jobs In Adamawa

Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa has entered into a partnership with Origin Group Nigeria, an agro-food systems company, to boost agriculture and create employment opportunities in the state.

Fintiri disclosed this after a closed-door meeting with the Chairman of the company, Prince J. Samuel, at the Government House, Yola, on Tuesday.

He said his administration would continue to provide an enabling environment to attract and retain investors, adding that the state was open to partnerships that would strengthen food production and economic growth.

The governor pledged to provide Origin Group with the necessary incentives to operate in a safe and supportive environment that would encourage the company to establish permanent operations in the state.

In his remarks, Prince Samuel expressed delight at the opportunity to invest in Adamawa, which he described as the third-safest state in Nigeria.

He commended Fintiri’s commitment to agriculture and his sustained investment in the sector, saying the state was well-positioned to become a hub for agribusiness.

Samuel said the company’s operations in Adamawa would focus on four key areas: cultivation of 25,000 hectares of land, partnership with the state on input support funding, development of tomato farming, and promotion of agricultural value chains.

According to him, the collaboration would attract massive agricultural investments that would spur economic development and empower the youth.
