Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State on Monday signed into law the state’s ₦486.2 billion 2025 appropriation bill tagged the “Budget of Service.”
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Yola, Fintiri commended the State House of Assembly for its cooperation and pledged transparent implementation of the budget to ensure accountability.
“This budget will be implemented to the letter, and every kobo will be accounted for in our bid to improve the lives of the people of Adamawa State,” Fintiri said.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor, Kaletapwa Farauta, and the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Bathiya Wesley.
Budget Breakdown
Recurrent expenditure: ₦137.26 billion, representing 28.23% of the total budget.
Capital expenditure: ₦348.96 billion, accounting for 71.77% of the total budget.
Fintiri had earlier presented the budget proposal to the House of Assembly on Dec. 16, 2024, which was subsequently passed as presented.
The governor emphasized that the budget prioritizes infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other critical areas aimed at enhancing the socio-economic well-being of the people.
“We are committed to ensuring that this budget delivers on its promise of service to the people, with an emphasis on development and growth,” he added.
