Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has officially inaugurated the Chairman and members of the Governing Council of Adamawa State University (ADSU) Mubi, urging them to uphold excellence and elevate the institution to a world-class standard.
During the inauguration ceremony held at the Government House conference hall on Friday, Governor Fintiri extended his congratulations to the council members and expressed confidence in their collective expertise benefiting the state.
He emphasized the importance of advancing success factors in university learning and transforming ADSU into a renowned center of academic excellence.
Governor Fintiri stressed his administration’s dedication to enhancing the education sector through substantial investments in improving access, retention, and performance tracking.
He called on the council members to exceed expectations and maintain transparency in their roles to contribute significantly to the state’s educational development.
In response, Prof Maxwell Gidado, the appointed Chairman and Pro Chancellor, conveyed gratitude to the governor for entrusting them with the responsibility to serve the state through ADSU.
He assured full commitment to aligning their actions with the institution’s vision and mission, emphasizing integrity and transparency in their service delivery.
Prof Gidado emphasized the pivotal role of education in achieving milestones and pledged to work diligently to complement the good governance demonstrated by Governor Fintiri’s administration.
The newly inaugurated members of the ADSU Governing Council include Prof Maxwell Gidado, Dr Ali Danburam, Mr Pwavidon Jaule, Bar Hapsaf Abdullahi, and Alh Aliyu M Gabdo.
