Nigeria’s First Lady, Her Excellency Senator Remi Tinubu, lauded the hospitality and commitment to national development demonstrated by Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and his wife, Aisha Bala Mohammed, during her visit to the state.
Senator Tinubu expressed her appreciation during the commissioning and handover ceremony of the ICT Centre named after former President of the Court of Appeals, Zainab Bulkachuwa, in Bauchi.
The event, initiated by the Renewed Hope Initiative in collaboration with the National Information and Technology Development Agency (NITDA), underscored the importance of technology in advancing gender equality and empowering women to contribute to economic growth and social progress.
Tinubu commended the Bauchi State Government (BASG) for empowering vulnerable orphans and widows, urging other state governors to emulate Governor Mohammed’s dedication to serving humanity.
Governor Bala, in his welcoming remarks, stressed the significance of inclusivity, tolerance, and mutual respect for Nigeria’s progress. He praised the leadership of the Renewed Hope Initiative and reiterated his commitment to supporting the development of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
Governor Bala also expressed confidence in the competence of Senator Tinubu, urging Nigerians to support her initiatives.
The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji (Dr) Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, and DG of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, commended Senator Tinubu for her diligence and inclusiveness.
They highlighted the potential contribution of the new ICT center to Nigeria’s economic prosperity.In addition to the commissioning of the ICT center, the First Lady also inaugurated the newly constructed Alternative High Girls’ School in Bauchi.
