Hajja Aisa, the mother of former Borno State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, has passed away today, Sunday in Abuja after a long illness. She was 93 years old.
According to a statement, the burial rites for the deceased will take place on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the family residence of Late Galadima Modu Sheriff along Damboa Road in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, immediately after Zuhur prayers.
Hajja Aisa’s demise has been met with condolences from various quarters, with many paying tribute to her life and legacy. Her son, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, has been a prominent figure in Borno State politics and a key player in the APC.
