Four Suspects Arrested For Armed Robbery In Adamawa

In a swift response to distress calls, four suspects have been apprehended for their involvement in an armed robbery incident where a tricyclist, Nuhu Muhammed, was attacked and robbed of his tricycle bearing registration YL 155 VF along the Jimeta-Mubi Bridge on Sunday, at approximately 0600hrs.

According to SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, ANIPR,
Police Public Relations Officer, Adamawa State, the suspects, identified as Abdullahi Yusuf (22yrs), Umar Yahaya (20yrs), Hassan Ishaka (24yrs), and Shuaibu Abubakar (19yrs), all residents of Kwabura village, Hawul L.G.A, Borno State, boarded the tricycle as passengers under false pretenses, intending to travel to a location near Viniklang, Girei Local Government Area.

However, upon reaching the bridge, they forcibly ejected the tricyclist, wielding dangerous weapons and making off with the tricycle.

Thanks to the prompt action of the Jimeta Division patrol team, the suspects were swiftly apprehended, and the stolen tricycle was successfully recovered.

The Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, Psc(+), has assured that the suspects will face charges of criminal conspiracy and armed robbery following the completion of the investigation, emphasizing the commitment of the law enforcement authorities to uphold justice and ensure the safety of residents in Adamawa State.
