FRSC Deploys Resources Nationwide For Safe Eid el Fitr Celebration

In preparation for a safe Eid el Fitr celebration, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has mobilized regular and special marshals, patrol vehicles, ambulances, tow trucks, and bikes across critical corridors nationwide.

During the official inauguration of the 2024 Sallah Mega Motor Park Rally in Abuja, FRSC Corps Marshal Dauda Ali-Biu announced the comprehensive deployment aimed at ensuring road safety during the festive period.

Under the theme “Overloading is a Time Bomb: Stop the Deaths, Do not Overload with Persons, Animals or Goods,” the FRSC emphasized the importance of responsible road behavior to prevent accidents and fatalities.

Represented by Deputy Corps Marshal Shehu Zaki, the Corps Marshal highlighted the significance of the chosen theme and stressed the need for vigilance on the roads.

Operational equipment such as Radar Guns and Breathalysers were deployed to monitor speeding and drunk driving, enhancing road safety measures.

Ali-Biu underscored the directive for active and responsive Zebras – FRSC’s emergency response teams – to swiftly address reported crashes within the minimum response time.

Commanding Officers were instructed to intensify patrol operations and enforce regulations on critical offenses like overloading and vehicle maintenance standards.

Addressing the challenges posed by road safety in 2024, the FRSC expressed unwavering commitment to tackling them head-on through proactive measures and stringent enforcement protocols.

With a focus on enhancing public safety, the FRSC’s deployment of resources, including regular and special marshals, patrol vehicles, ambulances, and operational equipment, signifies a proactive approach to mitigating risks and ensuring a secure travel environment for all road users during the festive season.
