The Gombe Geographic Information System (GOGIS) has finalized plans to create a 1-kilometer buffer zone around the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Combat Reconnaissance Base in Gombe.
Wing Commander MKO Mokelu of the NAF Headquarters Command 109 CRG Gombe met with GOGIS Director-General, Dr. Kabiru Usman Hassan on friday, to discuss the project’s progress.
The collaboration follows Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar’s directive to establish a buffer zone to enhance the base’s security and operational safety.
Governor of Gombe State directed GOGIS to work with the NAF Command to implement the buffer zone.
Wing Commander Mokelu praised GOGIS for its professionalism and expressed the NAF’s eagerness to collaborate on GIS-related initiatives.
