Gombe Gov Donates Food Items To The Internally Displaced Persons IDPs

Concerned by the plight of Internally Displaced Persons, living in communities across the eleven (11) Local Governments Areas of the State, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has on Tuesday donated food items to be distributed to about five hundred Households to cushion their hardship occasion by the current economic realities.

Presenting the food items, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya represented by the Commissioner for Special Duties Shehu Yerima Addullahi said, the gesture was born out of the Governor’s magnanimity to support the victims of insurgencies resident in the State and call on its leadership to ensure that the items is evenly distributed to the beneficiaries.

Earlier the Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency SEMA Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi gave the breakdown of the items to include; Three Hundred (300) bags of rice, One hundred and fifty cattons of Macaroni and fifty cattons of spaghetti.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, chairman of Gombe State Internally displaced persons IDP’s Alhaji Abba Jatau expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa for the gesture and assured of equitable distribution of the items to the genuine beneficiaries.
