Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has led government delegation to the funeral prayer ( Janaza) of a renowned Islamic scholar and a spiritual leader of Tijjaniyya in Gombe State, Khalifa Sheikh Muhammadu Kobuwa, who died today Friday in Gombe.
The funeral prayer, which took place at the Central Eid ground, Gombe, attracted thousands of sympathisers from within and outside the state.
Governor Inuwa had earlier in a condolence message, described the deceased as truly remarkable Islamic cleric and a strong pillar of Tijjaniya who devoted his entire life to the service of Allah and the propagation of the ideals, personality, traits and character of Prophet Muhammad ( SAW).
He said, “Sheikh Muhammadu Kobuwa’s impact on the hearts of the people, especially the Tijjaniyya followers, is truly indelible. His guidance and teachings have been a source of inspiration for many”.
” His death is a huge loss, not just for Gombe State, but the entire country. It is my hope that his legacy of goodness and wisdom will be sustained by those he left behind, continuing to inspire generations to come”.
Governor Inuwa extend his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, members of Fiyanul Islam, Tijjaniyya community, and the Muslim Ummah as a whole.
He prayed Almighty Allah to shower his soul with rahma (mercy) and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
The Governor was accompanied to the funeral prayer by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Chief of Staff, Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Commissioners, Special Advisers, and other top government functionaries..
