The Vice-Chancellor University of Maiduguri, Prof Aliyu Shugaba had on Sunday received a delegation from the Executive Governor of Gombe State, His Excellency Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya led by the Secretary to Gombe State Government, Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi on a condolence visit to the VC over the demise of his beloved Mother Hajiya Hauwa Shugaba.
In a Statement released by the Personal Assistant, New Media to the Vice Chancellor, Muktar Ahmad Jada, the leader of the delegation Prof Njodi expressed sadness over the loss of the Shugaba’s family’s matriarch, describing the deceased as a mother who was a strong pillar to her son, the VC and the entire family.
He said he is in the University, alongside some members of the Gombe State Executive Council to deliver the governor’s heartfelt condolences to the family and also in his capacity as former Vice-Chancellor of the University commiserate with the VC and the entire University community.
Njodi prayed to Allah SWT to admit Mama’s soul into Jannatul Firdaus and the family, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
