Gombe Governor Approves Food Palliative Distribution to Mitigate Economic Hardship

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the distribution of essential food items to vulnerable persons across the state to alleviate economic challenges.

According to Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General (Press Affairs) Government House Gombe, this move follows resolutions from an Expanded Security Council Meeting on Tuesday.

The governor approved the distribution of 1,000 bags of 50 KG Sorghum, 1,000 bags of 25 KG rice, and 1,000 cartons of spaghetti pasta to beneficiaries in the 11 local government areas.

Additionally, 5,000 bags and cartons will be distributed to faith-based groups, civil society organizations, unions, and associations, including students, youths, women, and people living with disabilities.

This marks the 19th time the government has provided such support to the people of Gombe State. The food palliative aims to alleviate hardships, especially for the most vulnerable, and foster social stability amid economic challenges.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya remains committed to implementing effective measures to support citizens and ensure their resilience.
