Gombe Governor Celebrates 5th Anniversary With Cultural Splendour

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has rounded off a week-long celebration of his 5th anniversary in office with a state banquet at the Government House. The event, which took place on May 30, 2024, was attended by dignitaries from within and outside the state.

The banquet featured colorful cultural performances from diverse groups, including the Fulani cultural dance, Ngorda/Tera, Babunare/Bolawa, Bit-Bit/Tangale, and Laku/Kaltungo, as well as performances by indigenous Hausa political drummers and singers.

In a speech, Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed gratitude to the people of Gombe state for their support and trust, reaffirming his commitment to sustaining development and addressing remaining challenges. He called for continued unity and collaboration among stakeholders to achieve prosperity and growth.

Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barr. Solomon Dalung, commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for positively impacting the lives of the people and bringing development to areas where hope had been lost.

Prof. Rufa’i Ahmed Alkali, a chieftain of the APC, encouraged the Governor to continue his commendable efforts, which have been positively impacting the lives of the people of Gombe State.

Dignitaries at the event included the Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, former Deputy Governor, Hon Charles Iliya, Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo, and others.
