Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is currently chairing an expanded security council meeting at the Government House, Gombe, to address the pressing issue of insecurity in the state.
The high-level meeting brings together key officials and stakeholders, including the Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Chief of Staff, Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Commissioners of Internal Security, Agriculture, and Local Governments, Traditional Rulers, Heads of Security Agencies, and Local Government Council Chairpersons.
The meeting is expected to discuss a range of topics, including improving security measures, intelligence-sharing, community engagement, and addressing socio-economic factors contributing to insecurity.
According to Ismaila Uba Misilli, DG (Press Affairs), the meeting aims to foster a collaborative approach to tackling the security challenges facing the state.
