
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has inaugurated Chairmen and Members of the reconstituted Boards and Commissions as part of efforts to deepen good governance and strengthen public institutions in the state.
The inauguration, which took place on Tuesday at the new banquet hall of the Government House, featured the official swearing-in of members of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC), and Gombe Media Corporation (GMC).
Speaking on behalf of the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, said the exercise reflected the administration’s dedication to inclusive governance, transparency, and institutional development.
Njodi noted that the reconstitution of the Boards and Commissions was aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring improved service delivery to the people of Gombe State.
“With the intellectual capacity and experience of the newly appointed leaders and members, we are confident that Gombe State is well-positioned to achieve greater progress and excellence in public service delivery,” he stated.
He urged the appointees to carry out their duties with honour, dignity, and a strong sense of accountability, while also assuring them of the state government’s full support to enable them to function effectively.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Hajiya Rabi Shuaibu Jimeta, mni, Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission, thanked the Governor for the confidence reposed in them.
She described their appointments as both a privilege and a significant responsibility, pledging their total commitment to the administration’s vision and the development of the state.
“We are fully committed to the progress and development of Gombe State, and we pledge our unwavering support and loyalty to His Excellency and his administration,” she said.
The reconstitution of the Boards and Commissions marks another step in Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s broader governance reforms aimed at strengthening institutions and fostering sustainable development across the state.
