Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has continued his strategic engagements with the Federal Government in his pursuit of progress and prosperity for Gombe State.
The Governor, on Thursday met separately with the Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi and that of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola in their respective offices.
Governor Inuwa first met with the Minister of Works, in an engagement that was a follow-up to the earlier one held in November last year where he called on the Federal Government to intervene in addressing existing road infrastructure challenges.
During that meeting, he emphasized the urgency of resolving challenges on key routes such as Gombe-Dukku-Darazo, Gombe-Bauchi, Gombe-Biu, and Gombe-Bajoga-Potiskum roads.
Governor Inuwa is consistently pushing for collaborative effort between the State and Federal Governments to achieve a positive transformation of the road infrastructure, especially within the framework of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
At the Marine and Blue Economy Ministry, Governor Inuwa highlighted the wealth lying beneath the waves during a meeting with Minister Oyetola, expressing his administration’s eagerness to collaborate with the Federal Government to unlock the full potential of these underwater resources.
During discussions, Governor Inuwa brought the minister up to speed on the remarkable developments taking place at the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park near the Dadinkowa Dam, and the immense economic potential that it holds for not only Gombe State but also for Nigeria.
The Governor outlined the various sectors within the park that are set to contribute significantly to job creation and economic development of Gombe, the North-East and Nigeria.
