
The Gombe State Government has donated operational vehicles to the Hunters Association and the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) to enhance security operations across the state.
The donation includes two Toyota Hilux vehicles to the Hunters Association of Gombe State, led by Alhaji Rabiu Baushe, and one Toyota Hilux to the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Gombe State Command, headed by Abubakar Yaro.
Presenting the vehicles, the Director-General and Commandant of the Gombe State Security, Traffic and Environmental Corps (GOSTEC)/Operation Hattara, ACP Ibrahim Bappah (Rtd.), said the gesture was aimed at strengthening internal security and improving collaboration among security and community-based groups.
Bappah said the vehicles would enhance mobility, response time and operational effectiveness in safeguarding lives and property, while commending Gov. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for prioritising security in the state.
The beneficiaries thanked the state government and pledged to deploy the vehicles strictly for security operations in line with established regulations.
