The Gombe State Government has announced vacancies for the position of Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service.
The notice, issued by the Office of the Head of Civil Service in collaboration with the Gombe State Civil Service Commission, invited applications from qualified and interested indigenes of the state.
According to the advertisement signed by Suleiman Musa Kwami, Permanent Secretary, General Administration Department, eligible applicants must be indigenes of Gombe State and must have attained the age of 50 by December 2025.
Applicants are also required to have a minimum of 27 years of cognate experience in the public service and must currently hold the rank of Director or its equivalent.
The statement further emphasized that candidates must possess impeccable character, be of honest disposition, demonstrate commitment to the ideals of the public service, and be physically fit.
It added that applications should be submitted both in soft and hard copies. Soft copies are to be sent via email to yusufjibrin@gmail.com, while ten hard copies must be delivered to the Office of the Head of Civil Service on or before Nov. 20, 2025.
The notice stated that only shortlisted candidates would be contacted for a written examination and interview.
