In its efforts to modernize almajiri system of education and address the challenges being faced by almajiri boys and their teachers, Gombe State Government has started awarding contracts for the construction of over 200 modern tsangaya schools across nooks and crannies of the state.
The State Chairman Inuwa Action Group Hon Saleh Ahmad Danmasani confirmed the development on Monday, while speaking to newsmen in Gombe, maintaining that Governor Inuwa Yahaya is the first governor In the history of the state to accord tsangaya system of education such needed attention.
Commenting on the insinuations that Governor Inuwa Yahaya does not consider home based contractors in the state, Danmasani said such claims are far away from the truth.
He said “The governor has recently awarded nine major contracts to Gombe citizens, of whom I’m among, each amounting to hundreds millions of Naira”.
While challenging the contractors and politicians over their silence on the governor’s gestures and legacies, Ɗanmasani assured people of the state that the Inuwa Yahaya led administration shall continue on its mission to providing development projects across the state.
The APC stalwart described governor Inuwa’s win at the Supreme Court as victory for democracy.
