Munyal Simon Kwairanga, sole representative of Gombe State at the National Gymnastics Championship, has won three gold medals in individual events.
Munyal clinched gold in the Floor Exercise with a score of 7.60, and another in the Balance Beam with 6.60 points. She also emerged overall All-round Best with 25.50 points.
The gymnast finished fifth on the Vaulting Horse with 11.30 points. Munyal’s participation was limited to individual events due to lack of teammates from Gombe State.
Her achievement has put Gombe State on the national gymnastics map.
“A testament to her dedication and hard work,” said a Gombe State sports official.
