
Health workers in Gombe State, under the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU), have expressed deep appreciation to Gov. Inuwa Yahaya for approving and implementing the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) and the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS), effective November 2025.
In a statement signed by the JOHESU State Chairman, Comrade Abdulsalam Yakubu, and Secretary, Pharm. Usman Mohammed Adamu, the unions described the governor’s decision as a historic step that has boosted morale across the state’s health sector.
According to the statement, the approval addresses a long-standing demand and has brought renewed hope to thousands of healthcare professionals. It said the action also reflects the administration’s commitment to fairness, workers’ welfare and improved service delivery.
The unions noted that the governor’s intervention would further motivate the workforce to enhance productivity and uphold professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
They reaffirmed their loyalty and pledged continued support for the government’s development agenda, while praying for more wisdom and strength for the governor as he leads the state.
