The Gombe State Government has announced that four indigenes of the state have secured permanent employment with Rano Air as part of a partnership agreement ahead of the airline’s inaugural flight scheduled for November 28, 2025.
Presenting the appointment letters to the beneficiaries, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya—represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi—commended the new employees and urged them to serve as worthy ambassadors of the state.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to creating more employment opportunities for Gombe’s youth, noting that discussions are ongoing to secure additional placements at both federal institutions and private-sector organisations nationwide.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya and the state government for facilitating their recruitment into Rano Air, describing the opportunity as life-changing.
The brief ceremony, held at the SSG’s office, was attended by the Director General of the Due Process Bureau, Engr. Muhammad Dauda Abubakar, and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on General Duties, Alhaji Sani Garba.
