Gombe State Extends Crackdown On Night Clubs, Illegal Joints To LGAs

The Gombe State Government has announced plans to extend its crackdown on night clubs and illegal joints to all Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state. This move is part of the government’s efforts to combat immoral activities and social vices.

Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, met with the state task force and Local Government Chairmen to discuss the extension of the crackdown. The governor emphasized the need for a holistic approach to value re-orientation and crime dismantling in all LGAs.

The task force has been directed to work with council chairmen to identify and shut down gala houses and illegal joints, which are breeding grounds for social vices. The governor stressed that the fight against social vices and crime requires a collective effort and synergy between the state and LGAs.

The state government’s crackdown on night clubs and illegal joints has already resulted in the demolition of some buildings in the metropolis, where illicit activities were allegedly taking place. The governor urged local government council chairmen and security agencies to be vigilant and report security issues promptly to ensure swift action.

This move by the Gombe State Government aims to restore social values and maintain a crime-free society across the state.
