Gombe State Government has Suspended the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise for April to Facilitate a Hitch- free Local Government Councils Election Taking Place on Saturday, 27th April, 2024.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry Of Water, Environment And Water Resources, Gombe State.
The statement reads: “Suspension of monthly environmental sanitation exercise for the month of April.
This is to inform the general public that the instituted monthly sanitation exercise (slated for every last Saturday of the month) has been suspended for the month of April 2024.
This is sequel to the scheduled 27th April 2024 local government elections in Gombe state. It is believed that the suspension of the sanitation exercise for this month will pave way for a smooth and hitch free poll come Saturday.
The general public are by this, therefore, advised to take advantage of the suspension to come out en-masse to cast their votes during the Saturday April 27th local government council polls”.
