Gov. Agbu Kefas Attends Belle Cultural Festival in Zing

Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba State on Friday participated in the annual Belle Cultural Festival held in Zing Local Government Area of the state.

The festival, celebrated on Saturday at the palace of the paramount ruler of the Mumuye people, Kpanti Zing, brought together people from different backgrounds to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Mumuye ethnic group.

The event featured a cultural march-past, which highlighted various aspects of the Mumuye people’s traditions, with colorful displays of their history and way of life.

Speaking at the event, Kefas lauded the Mumuye people for preserving their cultural identity and promoting peace and unity.

“The Belle Cultural Festival is a testament to the resilience and rich traditions of the Mumuye people. I commend your commitment to fostering peace and unity through culture,” he said.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to protect and promote the cultural heritage of all ethnic groups in the state. He said culture plays a vital role in uniting communities and promoting peaceful coexistence.

The Belle Cultural Festival is regarded as one of the most prominent cultural events in Taraba State, drawing participants and spectators from within and outside the state.
