Gov. Fintiri Announces Free Dialysis Treatment in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has on Friday announced the introduction of free dialysis treatments across Adamawa State, a move aimed at making healthcare more accessible to residents.

The initiative is part of the governor’s broader efforts to enhance medical services and ensure that both urban and rural communities benefit from improved healthcare facilities.

The newly established dialysis center at Adamawa State Specialists Hospital, Yola, is the first of its kind in a state-owned medical facility. Before this intervention, dialysis patients relied on the Federal Medical Center, Yola, or were forced to travel long distances to seek treatment.

Governor Fintiri’s administration has prioritized health sector reforms, focusing on making critical medical services affordable and accessible to the common man.

Residents have welcomed the development, expressing relief over the financial burden it lifts from families affected by kidney-related ailments.

Health officials urge those in need of dialysis to visit the Adamawa State Specialists Hospital, Yola, for free treatment and regular check-ups.
