The Adamawa State Government has projected an additional 20 per cent reduction in the state’s poverty rate following the injection of ₦7 billion into the Fintiri Business Wallet initiative in 2025.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri disclosed this while flagging off the 2025 third-quarter disbursement of ₦50,000 each to 100,000 beneficiaries under the Fintiri Business Wallet scheme. The event also marked the official launch of the 2025 last-quarter disbursement of the empowerment programme.

The ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yola, with beneficiaries drawn from small-scale business owners across the state.

The empowerment initiative, introduced by the Fintiri administration, is aimed at stimulating business growth, expanding economic opportunities, and improving the livelihoods of citizens in Adamawa State.
