Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has pledged to support security agencies in the fight against crime where he said he will intensify more effort in seeing that they succeed in the discharge of their duties.
The governor made the remark when he received in his office the new Brigade Commander of the 23rd Armoured Brigade Brig Gen P K Zawaya.
The outgoing brigade Commander Brig Gen M J Gambo who led the delegation said he has worked in the state for sixteen months and has now been transfered to the Heritage Center in Abuja, he expressed the confidence that his successor will deliver on his mandate given that he is a thorough bred fine officer.
The incoming Brigade Commander Brig Gen PK Zawawa assured the governor that he he bring on board his best to see that he performs beyond expectations.
Governor Fintiri further encouraged the new Brigade Commander to create a better synergy with government and other sister security agencies to ensure a zero crime rate in the state.
He emphasized that crimes like banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery, farmer/ herder clashes and all forms of neferous activities must be nipped in the bud so that citizens can go about their normal lives without fear.
