Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has expressed shock and sadness over the passing of former Commissioner of Health, Dr. Innocent Vakkai, who died at the Federal Medical Center, Jalingo.

In a tribute, Governor Kefas described Dr. Vakkai as a diligent worker who played a crucial role in managing the Ministry of Health during the COVID-19 crisis. He praised Vakkai’s dedication, gentle nature, and commitment to delivering excellent results.
The Governor condoled with the family, particularly the widow and children, saying that Dr. Vakkai’s passing has left a huge vacuum in his profession and family circle that cannot be easily filled.
He prayed for the repose of Dr. Vakkai’s soul and urged the family to find the strength to bear the loss.
