Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed led the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Bauchi State, held at IBB Square, to honor the sacrifices of fallen military personnel and their families.
During the ceremony on Wednesday, Governor Mohammed laid a wreath in memory of the fallen heroes. An Imam and a Protestant pastor offered special prayers for the departed soldiers and the continued strength of the Nigerian Armed Forces. A symbolic release of pigeons followed, representing peace and stability.
Governor Mohammed also inspected the guard of honor mounted by the Nigerian Armed Forces. In a gesture of support for veterans, he presented an official vehicle to the State Chairman of the Nigerian Legion.
Speaking, Mohammed reiterated his administration’s commitment to working with security agencies to maintain peace and stability, which he described as essential for the state’s growth and development.
