Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has on Thursday signed into law, the 2024 appropriation and three other bills, prioritizing the education sector as pledged during the Bauchi State Education Summit.

Speaking during the session held at Bauchi Government House in the presence of the Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly and other dignitaries, Mohammed reiterated the commitment of his administration to embarking on massive construction of rural and urban roads, construction of additional classroom blocks and facilities, saying the bill will have a direct bearing on the lives of citizens in addition to introducing policies aimed at empowering youth and women as part of fulfillment of his campaign promises.
Other bills assented are Children Right Act 2023, Establishment of Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Cooperation, Establishment of Bauchi State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, as well as a bill for the amendment of the Bauchi State Orphan and Vulnerable Children Agency.
While commending the commitment of the leadership and members of the BAHA, Mohammed appreciated their sportsmanship exhibited throughout the exercise, assuring of his administration’s readiness to collaborating with them for the benefit of the citizenry.
