Governor Inuwa Yahaya Mourns Seven Killed in Road Accident in Gombe Community

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has expressed deep sorrow over a tragic motor accident that claimed the lives of seven persons from Lawanti community in Akko Local Government Area of the state.

The victims were reportedly travelling to Maiduguri, Borno State, to attend a wedding ceremony when the fatal accident occurred.

In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the incident as a painful and devastating loss, not only to the bereaved families but also to the entire Lawanti community, Akko Local Government Area and Gombe State as a whole.

He said the untimely death of the victims had deeply touched the hearts of all, stressing that no words could adequately console families who lost loved ones in such tragic circumstances.

The Governor specifically commiserated with the families of the victims, including the District Head of Jalingo, Bello Hassan Babangida, who lost his sister and niece; Idris Lawanti Maigari, who lost his daughter; and Idris A. Isah Lawanti, the Councillor representing Akko Ward, who also lost close relatives.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya prayed that Almighty Allah grant the bereaved families, relatives and the entire Lawanti community the strength, patience and fortitude to bear the great loss.

He also prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the departed souls, asking that their shortcomings be forgiven, their good deeds accepted, and that they be granted Aljannatul Firdaus.
