Governor Yahaya Seeks Strategic Partnerships In China To Boost Gombe’s Economy

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has embarked on a high-profile mission to the People’s Republic of China to secure foreign investments and foster strategic partnerships with global industry leaders. The aim is to drive sustainable development and transform Gombe into a thriving economic hub in Nigeria.

During his visit, Governor Yahaya engaged with the China Railway 18th Bureau Group Corporation Limited (CR18G), a subsidiary of the China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC). Discussions focused on potential collaborations to enhance Gombe State’s infrastructure, energy capacity, and agricultural productivity.

Key projects discussed include the establishment of a 100-megawatt solar power plant, the canalization of the Balanga Dam to support large-scale irrigation farming, and regional infrastructure development, including road and railway construction.

Governor Yahaya commended CR18G for its contributions to Gombe State’s development, particularly in the construction of civil infrastructure at the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park. He expressed optimism about future collaborations that will further enhance the growth trajectory of Gombe State.

The Governor was accompanied by members of the Gombe State House of Assembly, the State Commissioner of Works, Housing and Transportation, and the Director-General of Research and Documentation.
