GYF Awards N1.2 Million Scholarships To 40 Students In Yobe

The Gulani Local Government Area Youth Forum (GYF) has demonstrated its commitment to education by disbursing a total of 1.2 million naira in scholarships to 40 students hailing from various parts of the Gulani Local Government Area and pursuing studies across different regions of the country.

During the ceremony marking the scholarship distribution, Alhaji Jafa’ar Kukuwa, the chairman of the forum, highlighted that the initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Dr. Mohammed Goje and Abubakar Mohammed K, esteemed associates of Hon. Mai Mala Buni.

Beneficiaries were selected from 12 political wards within the local government area, with each student receiving a scholarship grant of thirty thousand naira (N30,000) to support their educational pursuits.

Dr. Mohammed Goje, the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), echoed the significance of the scholarships in aligning with Hon. Mai Mala Buni’s dedication to advancing education, underscoring the importance of empowering students through financial support.

Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Kukuwa, known as Zannah Dujima of Gujba and the event’s chairman, reiterated the forum’s commitment to sustaining such initiatives to aid vulnerable students from disadvantaged backgrounds in furthering their education.

He emphasized the forum’s resolve to continue supporting educational endeavors and uplifting deserving students within the community.
