A delegation of the Nigerian government, on Wednesday, met with leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC.
The meeting which, convened by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume, is centred around the state of the nation, especially petrol pricing and its consequences.
At the meeting were Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, NSA; Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Labour Minister; Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.
Others are Alhaji Mohammed Idris, Information Minister; Heineken Lokpobiri, Petroleum Minister, State; Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), and representatives of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Limited, Vanguard reports.
This is coming amid the adjustment of NNPCL pump price of fuel from N897 per litre to N1,030 in Abuja, and from N855 to N998 in Lagos.
