Jere Chairperson, Hon. Inna Galadima, visited the Muna-IDPs Camp to assess the aftermath of a devastating fire outbreak that occurred on Saturday morning, causing extensive damage to properties valued at millions of Naira.
Expressing deep empathy for those affected, Galadima described the incident as unfortunate and heart-wrenching. During her visit to the scene on Sunday, she extended her sympathies to the IDPs and property owners who suffered immeasurable losses due to the fire.
Galadima assured the affected individuals of government support and urged both property owners and IDPs to prioritize safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
In a statement shared on her personal Facebook page, she prayed for God’s intervention to prevent such tragedies from reoccurring and pledged assistance to the victims.
“We are here to show empathy and solidarity with all the victims directly impacted by the morning’s fire disaster. I am deeply saddened by the destruction of properties worth millions of Naira,” Galadima stated, emphasizing the importance of community support and preparedness in the face of unforeseen disasters.
