Hon. Tijjani Ville Sponsors Less Privileged Youths For Nursing Studies In Gwoza

The Kangiwa of Gwoza, Hon. Tijjani Audu Ville, has sponsored several less privileged youths across the 13 wards of Gwoza Local Government Area for admission into the newly established College of Nursing and Midwifery, Gwoza.

The initiative, according to a statement issued by the Convener of the Hon. Tijjani Audu Ville Free Scholarship Programme, Comrade Sastawa, aims to support qualified candidates who were unable to continue their education due to financial constraints.

Sastawa said Hon. Ville took the decision after receiving reports about the plight of several students who had gained admission but lacked the means to pay their fees.

He said a delegation sent by Hon. Ville met with the beneficiaries and their families, ensuring that the sponsorship covered all financial requirements for their enrollment.

“The students expressed joy and gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a fatherly intervention that rekindled their hopes and dreams. Their parents also offered prayers and pledged support for Hon. Ville’s continued commitment to community welfare,” the statement added.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Sastawa conveyed Hon. Ville’s appreciation to Gov. Babagana Umara Zulum for his visionary leadership and for establishing the College of Nursing and Midwifery in Gwoza, describing it as a beacon of opportunity for the region’s youth.

He further reaffirmed Hon. Ville’s support for the governor’s 25-year Developmental Plan and his readiness to collaborate with stakeholders to promote education and sustainable community development.

Through the scholarship programme, Hon. Ville has continued to demonstrate leadership rooted in empathy and service, the statement said, adding that his intervention had inspired hope among less privileged youths and reinforced education as a tool for transformation.
