Imam Charity Foundation Empowers 150 Less Privileged Women in Jalingo

A total of 150 less privileged women in Jalingo have received donation of over 3million naira from Imam Charity Foundation.

Mal. Aliyu Imam, Chairman, Board of Trustees of the foundation, said in a message during the distribution on Saturday in Jalingo, that it was meant to empower the beneficiaries to be self reliant.

Aliyu Imam, said that the foundation targeted women and most vulnerable members of the society including pastoralists.

He explained that 150 women received 20,000 each and 200 individuals benefited from distribution of food items while 10 people got intervention ranging from 150k, 120k, 100k,60k and 50k

“The Chairman added that the gesture became necessary to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged in the community by empowering them through the initiative.”

Also speaking, the National Chairman JIBWIS-Nigeria, Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, thanked the Imam Charity Foundation for the gesture.

He noted that the foundation had positively impacted the lives of the less privileged and vulnerable persons in the society.

National Sectary General JIBWIS-Nigeria, Sheikh Kabiru Haruna Gombe, thanked the foundation for the intervention, and urged wealthy Muslims to assist in reducing the biting poverty among populace.

Commending the gesture of the foundation, the National Chairman JIBWIS Council of Ulama, Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Jalo Jalingo, described the distribution as timely noting that “it will go a long way to alleviate the suffering of the masses at this particular period. I urge the beneficiaries to make good use of the items they received.

“Some of the beneficiaries who expressed their appreciation towards the gesture prayed for the foundation and those behind the initiative.”

Highlights of the occasion was presentation of food items to the needy, laptop, Confard letter of grant patron for Imam charity Foundation given to JIBWIS National chairman sheikh Abdu
