Inuwa Yahaya, APC Governors Visit Buhari in Kaduna

Gov. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe and other governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday paid a courtesy visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna.

The visit was carried out under the platform of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) and led by its Chairman, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, who is the Governor of Imo.

Speaking to newsmen after the visit on Monday, Uzodinma said the governors were in Kaduna to extend Sallah greetings to the former president and to congratulate him on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

He said the visit was also an opportunity to wish Buhari well as he settles into his newly renovated home.

“This visit is symbolic and deeply rooted in respect, loyalty and continued appreciation for the statesmanship, leadership and legacy of President Muhammadu Buhari,” Uzodinma said.

He added that the APC governors remain committed to the ideals of good governance and unity which the former president represented during his time in office.

Governors of Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Edo, Kogi, Ondo, Ekiti and Benue were also in attendance.

The Deputy Governor of Jigawa and the Minister of Budget and National Planning were among other dignitaries present.
