Inuwa Yahaya Approves Appointment of Senior, Special Assistants in Gombe

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, of Gombe State has approved the appointment of a new batch of Senior Special Assistants (SSA II) and Special Assistants (SA I) as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement, enhance public service delivery, and deepen inclusive governance.

The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the Governor’s approval in a statement on Wednesday, said the appointments take immediate effect from July 16, 2025.

He stated that the newly appointed aides will support the administration across key areas including political affairs, youth and women mobilization, civil service matters, sustainable development goals (SDGs), special projects, and coordination of trade associations.

The newly appointed Senior Special Assistants II (SSA II) include:

1. Bashir Tukur – SSA II (SDGs)

The SSG noted that the appointments are designed to reinforce the Yahaya administration’s efforts to create effective communication channels between government and communities while ensuring efficient programme delivery at the grassroots.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, according to the statement, expects the appointees to leverage their experiences to support the successful implementation of his administration’s development agenda.
