Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on Saturday condoled with the family of Alhaji Lawan na Alhaji Dukku over the demise of the matriarch of the family and grand mother of Alhaji Auwalu Lawan ( Sarkin Sudan Gombe), Hajiya Maryam Abdullahi, affectionately known as Hajiya Nana Tudun Wada, who died earlier today at the age of over 100 years.
Governor Inuwa, who attended the funeral prayer ( Janazah) which took place at the Emir’s Palace , Gombe, said Hajiya Nana Tudun Wada was not only a mother and grandmother but also a cherished presence in the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love and wisdom.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Alh. Lawan na Alhaji Dukku and Sarkin Sudan as well as the entire family members over this huge loss. May Allah in his infinite mercy forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and reward her good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus “, the Governor prayed.
The Janazah was attended by the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, CFR, Emir of Dukku, Alhaji Haruna Kadir Rashid , CON, Government functionaries, family members and hundreds of sympathisers.
