The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State says it is fully prepared to conduct its ward congresses scheduled for Saturday, assuring that the exercise will be free, fair and transparent.
Briefing newsmen on Friday in Yola, the party’s Organising Secretary, Alhaji Hamza Bello Madagali, said all necessary arrangements had been concluded, with election materials already distributed across the 21 local government areas of the state.
He disclosed that the election committee mandated to oversee the congresses had since arrived in Yola to ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise.
Madagali stressed that the party would strictly adhere to the directives of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who he described as the leader of the party in the state, adding that such compliance was essential to guarantee a transparent and credible outcome.
He noted that Adamawa is among the 12 states where the PDP ward congresses will be conducted nationwide this Saturday.
