In a ceremony held on Thursday at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Government House in Maiduguri, the Acting Governor of Borno State, Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur, inaugurated the chairmen and members of the newly constituted state assembly commission and 14 other statutory boards.
The Acting Governor urged the newly appointed officials to carry out their responsibilities with commitment, accountability, and responsibility.
He also emphasized that the government has zero tolerance for corruption and financial indiscipline, warning that anyone found wanting in their duties will face the wrath of the law.
The statutory boards and commissions inaugurated include Borno State Local Government Pension Board, Borno State Urban Planning and Development Board, and Borno State Geographic Information Service, among others.
The Chairman of the Borno State Geographic Information Service (BOGIS), Zanna Mhadi, expressed gratitude to the governor for entrusting them with such responsibilities. He assured that they will work diligently to fulfill their duties.
