Kadafur Visits Victims of Gwoza Bomb Blast, Says the incident is unfortunate

Borno State Acting Governor H.E Hon.Umar Usman Kadafur along with the Senator Representing Southern Borno, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, Member House of Representative, Gwoza,Chibok, Damboa,Member House of Assembly Gwoza local government, Stakeholders and some top government functionaries have on Sunday visited State Specialist Hospital where the injured victims of recent Bomb blast which occured in Gwoza town were receiving treatment and the residents of the families of those who died for Condolence.

The Acting Governor said they are purposely on the visit to Sympathise with the victims and see how they are responding to treatment, adding that already the state government have settled all their medical bills and is doing everything possible to see that adequate medical attention is given to the victims.

Kadafur while condeming the sad and unfortunate incident described it as an act of God and prayed for  God to forestall future occurrence and have mercy on  those who died in the explosion and wish those injured quick recovery.

Kadafur also said despite what has happened, the fight against insurgency and terrorism must continue, pointing out that the perpetrators have taken advantage of the laxity of vigilance by the people after relative peace is achieved and appealed to the people to be more vigilant and report any suspicious movement or persons they notice in their area to security personnel so as to avoid  similar occurrence of the incident.

The Acting governor and his entourage were later at the residence of the families of those who lost their lives and offered special prayers for the reposed of the soul of the deceased.

As at the time of the visit to the State Specialist Hospital, out of the 42 victims who were admitted in the Hospital 2 died 16 were discharged while 24 are responding to treatment.
