
Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has donated an 18-seater bus to the AB Na’ibi College of Nursing Sciences in Lau Local Government Area and pledged to construct a hostel for students as well as an access road to the institution.
The governor made the commitments on Saturday while attending the maiden matriculation ceremony of the college, describing education as a key pillar of his administration.
Speaking at the event, Kefas reaffirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector through reforms aimed at improving quality and maintaining standards across institutions in the state.
“Education remains a strong pillar of our administration,” the governor said, noting that ongoing reforms are focused on ensuring that students receive quality training in a conducive learning environment.
As part of immediate support to the institution, Governor Kefas announced the donation of an 18-seater bus to ease transportation challenges faced by the college. He also disclosed that construction of hostel blocks for students would commence, alongside plans to build a road leading directly to the college to improve accessibility.
The governor’s gesture was welcomed by the management of the AB Na’ibi College of Nursing Sciences and other stakeholders, who described the support as timely and crucial to the growth of the newly established institution.
The maiden matriculation ceremony marked a significant milestone for the college, as newly admitted students were formally inducted into their academic programmes.
