
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has announced the commencement of a free bus service for students, aimed at easing transportation challenges and financial difficulties.
The service, provided by the University of Maiduguri Consultancy Services Limited, will officially begin on Monday, March 3, 2025, covering the ACADA to COMPLEX route and vice versa.
According to a statement issued by the Acting Dean of Students, the buses will operate at the following hours:
6:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The initiative is expected to provide a safe and convenient transport system for students. Many have welcomed the development, describing it as a relief from high transportation costs.
The university management urged students to make good use of the service and adhere to safety guidelines.
