A 39-year-old man, Yusuf Umar, was arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command for attempting to sell his 5-year-old daughter for N1.5 million.
According to the Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Mohammed, who addressed a press briefing at the Police headquarters in Bauchi on Thursday, Yusuf Umar, a resident of Dagu village in Warji Local Government Area (LGA), was caught trying to traffic his biological daughter.
The police commissioner stated that Yusuf Umar claimed to be a staff member of Warji Local Government area council, but his true intentions were exposed when he was caught attempting to sell his young daughter..
