The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Hussaini Salihu, for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl.
The incident occurred on July 24, 2024, when the suspect lured the victim into his house and had carnal knowledge of her. He then gave her N2,000 before attempting to escape.
However, the Police were alerted by the victim’s mother, and they trailed and apprehended the suspect. During interrogation, Hussaini Salihu made a confessional statement, admitting to the crime.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) confirmed the arrest and stated that the suspect will be charged to court for the offense.
